Dolmar Chainsaw Guide

Hi there,

I recently replaced the chain for my Dolmar PS-350 with a brand new chain that I just purchased. However it doesn’t seem to be cutting the way a new blade should, and the cuts are rough too. I checked the blade and sharpened it again today but no improvement. What is wrong with the unit?

Hello Harry,

If the chain is brand new then it’s definitely not a problem with the blade itself but most probably the way you installed it onto the chainsaw. Check the tension of the belt – if the tension is too low then the chain will not be able to effectively come in contact with the lumbar and provide a clean cut.
